Songahm Martial Arts Inc. AMMA
Songahm Martial Arts Inc. is the full contact amateur combative sports arm of Songahm Martial Arts Academy. Our Amateur Mixed Martial Arts events will be promoted under the banner of "A Dragon's Tale". We are registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and our first event is scheduled to take place on the beautiful campus of the University of Texas at Tyler, 3900 University Blvd., Tyler, TX 75799 on 23 March 2013. Doors open at 5:00 pm & the event will start at 6:00 pm. All spectators that purchased tickets online will need to present their ticket and or receipt along with photot ID to the box office to gain entry into the arena.
All paperwork for competitors must be completed and turned in by 19 February 2013 (please fax to 888.762.1110). This event will take place under the unified rules of Amateur MMA with the exception that elbows will not be allowed. The weigh in will take place on 22 March 2013 at the Staybridge hotel, 2759 McDonald Road, Tyler, TX 75701 at 6:00 pm for all competitors. Family members and fans are welcome to the weigh in. Meals will be provided for all fighters for the weigh in. Food will be catered for fans and family members - $8.00 (buffet style). Media Weigh in will begin at 7:30 PM.
Free Bully Prevention and Safety Net Kids Classes with Taekwondo demonstrations for all Children, ages 3 and up will be be held on the campus of UT Tyler at the Herringto Patriot Center from 10 am - 12 pm on 23 March 2013.
Free Movie passes for kids and their family members that participate in the Bully Prevention and Safety Net Kids program at Hollywood Movie Theaters (limit one movie per family) from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm
